Sonora, CA…With the recent decision made by the Judicial Council of California (JCC), the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office will be releasing additional inmates. JCC stated the bail for low level felonies and most misdemeanors will now have a bail at $0. With these new criteria, the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office will release 14 pretrial inmates.

It was earlier reported that upwards of 40 inmates would be released. After a thorough review of inmates meeting the criteria, only 14 will be released. For a complete list of the latest regulations placed by the JCC, see the attached link.
