Marti Crane has served on the CCBE for 12 years and said, “A position on the board represents an opportunity to work with a dedicated team to ensure high quality education for our students.” Member Colleen Denny-Garamendi shared that, “As a parent of students who grew up in Calaveras schools, I wanted to serve on the County Board of Education to share my experience, represent our area, and help promote excellence in our county schools and programs.” Sean Paulson, the newest board member, talked about goals for CCBE and explained, “The best goal for the board is to be a bridge to the public on what is happening with education at the county level and to support CCOE staff and superintendent with their goals.”

“We are very grateful to our CCBE members for their hard work and dedication,” said Nanik. “We hope to fill the vacancy with an equally dedicated individual.”
