Blonco is Your Calaveras County Animal Services Pet of the Week!

San Andreas, CA…Meet Blonco, a Siberian Husky estimated to be eight years of age. An affectionate dog, Blonco thrives on interactions with volunteers though is relaxed and quiet in his kennel. He enjoys exuberant play with the other shelter dogs – both male and female – but especially rolling around in his pool. Loyal, outgoing, and good with children, Siberians are known to make wonderful family pets. Blonco will need a home where his people can spend time with him, too, as this clever breed can be escape artists. Blonco may also be housebroken since he keeps his kennel clean. Should you have another dog, a meet ‘n’ greet is required.

As with all dogs available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter, Blonco is microchipped and up to date on his routine vaccinations. He will need to be neutered before following you home.

Come visit Blonco, impound no. AO53181, along with other dogs and cats awaiting their forever homes at Calaveras County Animal Services, 901 Jeff Tuttle Drive, San Andreas (in government center by the new jail). Animal Services is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday – Saturday (closed for lunch from 1-2 p.m.). Animal Services now has a Fee Flexibility Program!
When the dog or cat population at the shelter is at 80% or above capacity, the total adoption fee will be 50% off––reduced to $40 for dogs and $30 for cats. The adoption fee for cats who arrive at the shelter already altered will be $10.
