West Point, CA…On June 10, 2020 at approximately 2316 hours, Alexander Beard, 27 from West Point was driving his Dodge pickup on eastbound SR-26, east of Stanley Road. As Mr. Beard was negotiating a curve in the roadway for eastbound traffic, he allowed his vehicle to travel into the westbound lane, where he lost control of the truck. The Dodge continued off of the roadway, onto the north shoulder of SR-26, where it collided with a tree.

The Dodge continued in an easterly direction, on the north shoulder of SR-26, where it overturned into a group of trees, and came to rest on its roof. Unfortunately, Mr. Beard succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
