San Andreas, CA…Meet Cloud, a greyhound perhaps Lab mix of about three years of age. If you recognize that engaging smile, Cloud has appeared in this spot before. He was adopted but returned to the shelter because he kept jumping up on his elderly owner. Cloud was initially found wandering by a Good Samaritan who brought him to us. At first shy and timid, he has blossomed and gained some weight as volunteers and staff earn his trust. He walks well on a leash, enjoys bath-time and eagerly takes treats with a soft mouth. He tested well with other shelter dogs though if you have another dog at home, a meet ‘n’ greet will be required. Cloud will also need a home without small animals along with a human companion who can provide a loving and reassuring hand. He is a high energy dog, so a home without small children or people without balance issues would be best. Otherwise gentle and sweet-tempered, we believe he is housebroken since he keeps his kennel clean.
As with all dogs available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter, Cloud is micro-chipped and up-to-date on his routine vaccinations. Already neutered, he can go home with you today!
Come visit Cloud, impound no. AO52694, along with other dogs and cats awaiting adoption at Calaveras County Animal Services, 901 Jeff Tuttle Drive, San Andreas (in government center by the new jail). Animal Services now has a Fee Flexibility Program!
When the dog or cat population at the shelter is at 80% or above capacity, the total adoption fee will be 50% off––reduced to $40 for dogs and $30 for cats. The adoption fee for cats who arrive at the shelter already altered will be $10. With the 55-5-5 Program, any time an adopter is 55 or older and adopts any pet over 5 years old, the adoption fee is $5.
