Angels Camp, CA…Last night we laid to rest one of our own. With his handler by his side, retired K9 Thor was laid to rest after losing his battle with a sudden illness. K9 Thor began his law enforcement career with the Stockton Police Department. He joined the Angels Camp Police Department in 2016 and proudly served the citizens of Angels Camp until his retirement in 2020.

One of K9 Thor’s most memorable assignments was working alongside his handler, Officer McDearmid, at our schools. Students and school staff shared many stories over the years of K9 Thor’s friendly demeanor and how much they enjoyed having him on campus.

K9 Thor lived out his retirement years with Officer McDearmid and her family. He will be missed by all who knew him.
