Calaveras Sheriff’s Department Celebrates Its Volunteers During National Volunteer Appreciation Week 2022

San Andreas, CA…National Volunteer Week 2022 theme is ‘Empathy In Action’. This profoundly human connection is at the heart of individuals and makes for stronger communities. The White House announced this week that the American spirit of service is alive and well.

The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Volunteer programs are comprised of highly dedicated persons who provide a wide range of professional services. Each day volunteers perform duties including vacation house checks, clerical work, search and rescue activities, Chaplain emotional and spiritual support, staffing Sheriff substations, Reserve Deputy functions, and countless other duties that often go unrecognized. Our Volunteers’ commitment to service represents the best of who we are. By utilizing the thousands of volunteer hours per year, the Sheriff’s office is able to lessen the impact to the county’s general fund and make the most out of its limited budget.

The efforts of our Sheriff Volunteers not only make the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office a better and more efficient workplace, but they also improve the quality of life for the citizens of Calaveras County.

Please contact Lieutenant Greg Stark at (209)-754-6783 if you are interested in becoming a Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Volunteer.
