Angels Camp, CA…(Frogtown)..Governor Brown recently made appointments to the Calaveras County Fair Board of Directors. Gay Callan has been on the board since 1991. She was instrumental in starting the professional wine competition at the Calaveras County Fair. She has been board president twice in the tenure. She is one of the longest serving fair directors in the State. She and her husband George ranch and live in Esmeralda Valley…

Gloria Grimes has been on the board since 2012. She is was key in establishing the bark huts here are the fairgrounds, a tribute to the Miwuk Indians. She serves on our Frog Jump committee. She is the Tribal Chairman for the Calaveras MiWuks. She and her husband Leonard live in West Point.

The 39th District Agriculture Association (Calaveras County Fair) Board Members are appointed by the California State Governor. The 9 member board is the governing body and develops policy. The Board is voluntary and receive no monetary compensation. The Board currently has one vacancy. Applications can be found on the State of California’s Website.
