First Two Post Butte Fire Recovery Homes To Be Unveiled On Monday

San Andreas, CA…The first two homes to be built by Calaveras Recovers will be unveiled at the 9 a.m.
Monday, April 4, meeting at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints hall at 221 Church Hill Road, San

Already local architect, Mike Borean of Mike Borean Designs of Murphys, has created a modest
960-square-foot two-bedroom, one bath home. Phillip Miller, a licensed building contractor, and the local
Mennonite congregation have committed to being lead contractor and crew on the homes. Calaveras Recovers
plans to break ground on the homes sometime this month.

Calaveras Recovers is seeking participation at the Unmet Needs table where agencies, groups and
individuals can come together to help complete the home in offering skilled labor, donation of supplies, and
volunteer help to feed the crews and finish landscaping the yard.

“This will be a good meeting for people to learn about how they can help us build these first two homes,
but also help us complete the rest that are needed.”

Calaveras Recovers is a post-disaster recovery organization providing resources and support to
