Wallace, CA…Firefighters responded to a residential structure fire yesterday afternoon in Wallace – Wallace Lake Estates. On our arrival, firefighters reported heavy fire conditions with flames through the roof over the garage and 2nd story of the home.

The homeowners arrived shortly after our arrival and reported the family dog was trapped inside the home. Firefighters were able to rescue the pet, which suffered significant smoke inhalation.

Firefighters administered oxygen, and the family dog is doing well.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
