Angels Camp, CA…Visitors and residents can enjoy a relaxing and memorable rafting experience on the 2016 Mokelumne River Rafting Adventure on Sunday, May 22. Local rafting company O.A.R.S. has secured a Special-Use Permit to raft a gorgeous, mostly gentle, six-mile stretch of the Mokelumne River as a thank-you gift to community members who donate $75 per person to the Calaveras Mentoring Foundation. The water is flowing this year, so OARS is able to offer a choice of three trips: 8am, noon, or 4pm. Seating is limited and available by advance reservation only. The trip is appropriate for ages 7 and up. Located near Jackson, this stretch of river is considered Class II-III and features several long, peaceful pools with a bit of excitement near the end.
