Calaveras CEO Welcomes New Public Works Director

San Andreas, CA…I am pleased to announce the appointment of Micah Martin as Calaveras County’s new Public Works Director. He will be reporting for duty on Monday, January 27, 2025. Mr. Martin comes to the County with a bachelor’s degree in public works administration and over 25 years of relevant private and public sector experience.

Below is a summary of the positions he has held in the field:

General Superintendent for a private sector construction company (HPD, Inc.) involved with a variety of public works projects for municipalities (including street maintenance contracts) and utility companies in southern California.

Senior Public Works Inspector for the City of Fontana

Public Works Supervisor for the City of Morgan Hill

Maintenance and Operations Manager for the City of West Covina

Deputy Director of Public Works for the City of Newport Beach

Public Works Services Director for the City of Rancho Cucamonga
Mr. Martin’s experience is not limited to just street and road construction and maintenance. His prior positions have also given him experience in the areas of municipal water and sewer systems, storm drains, solid waste, environmental services, parks, facility and fleet maintenance.

    In a county were the retires are paying all the taxes where do they get the money to pay such a high dollar CEO or what ever you want to call another freeloader to tell us how to run our lives and our Country
