Calaveras Stands For Justice & Peace… Again.

Angels Camp,CA… As a continuation of our Stand for Justice and Peace, the Calaveras Working Group will gather on Friday, February 10, from 4 to 6 pm, at the signal-light intersection of Highways 49 and 4 in Angels Camp to publicly stand for all that is being threatened by the new presidential administration. Issues of concern include: the environment, basic human rights, economic fairness and the non-violent resolution of all conflict.

If interested, please stand with us; bring a sign and some friends. Every second Friday of the month, this group will follow its vigil with a discussion of future steps at the nearby Round Table Pizza. For information, contact Patricia Payne, patricia@goldrush.com or call Bruce Giudici at 209-559-6279.

I do worry about our country and our county. I have to ask what happened to respect for others? I look these anonymous replies and all I can do is shake my head at how many steps we have taken backward. Do we no longer teach american history in our schools? To those who feel that we need to “Make America Great Again” why don’t we start with respecting each others rights to free speach?
I’m I going to be part of this gathering? No, not my thing. BUT…as a VET, as an America, as a California, a part of this county and as a fuc%$@g human being I except that they have the right to do so. Funny thing about free speach….it is also what gives you the right to be an ass. See it works both ways.
