Public Notice For Board Membership Applications

Calaveras County, CA…NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, due to unscheduled vacancies and expiration of terms, the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors encourages interested and qualified persons to apply for membership to the following County boards, committees or commissions:

Hardwood Advisory Committee
One vacancy for a term expiring 12/31/18 – General Public Representative
The Committee shall evaluate the effectiveness and progress of educational programs on hardwood management and the effectiveness of the Calaveras County Oak Woodland Management Guidelines in sustaining oak woodlands within Calaveras County. The Committee shall make periodic reports and recommendations to the Board of Supervisors with regards to local oak woodlands management.
Meets as needed.

IHSS Advisory Committee
One vacancy for a term expiring 12/31/18 – General Public Representative 4
The Advisory Committee shall provide ongoing advice and recommendations regarding In-Home Supportive Services and the Public Authority to the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors, the Governing Body, and any administrative body in the county that is related to the delivery and administration of In-Home Supportive Services. Members of the Committee are required to file a Statement of Economic Interest upon appointment, annually and when leaving office.
The Committee meets on the last Monday of each month, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, in the Conference Room at the San Andreas Library.

Applications for membership must be obtained by calling 209/754-6370 or through the Clerk-Recorder’s Office, Board of Supervisors Division, 891 Mtn. Ranch Rd, San Andreas, CA 95249. Completed applications must be returned to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors at the above address, by FAX or by email no later than 4:30 PM, April 7, 2017. If no applications are received by the advertised deadline or applications are withdrawn, do not meet requirements, are invalid, etc., the County will continue to accept applications beyond the deadline until the vacancy is filled.
