Garden Friends: Summer Vegetables & Annual Flowers

Jackson, CA…Spring is finally here! Are your thoughts turning to delicious, homegrown vegetables or a vase of colorful flowers from your garden? Please join the UCCE Master Gardeners of Amador County on Saturday, April 1, 2017 for “Garden Friends: Summer Vegetables and Annual Flowers”. Master Gardeners will identify local favorites and discuss care and maintenance of these as well as other vegetables and annual flowers which can be grown now and throughout the summer.

Interested in organic vegetable gardening? The why and how of organic gardening will also be covered. The class is free and open to the public. Handouts will include a planting guide which lists various elevations and local micro-climates. Classes are held in the GSA building at 12200-B airport Rd. in Jackson from 9am to Noon.
