Murphys, CA…The 11th Annual Taste of Calaveras drew its’ largest crowd ever on April 22nd At Ironstone and it Showcased the Finest Wine, Culinary Treats & Art. More than 40 of Calaveras County’s most acclaimed winemakers, restaurateurs and plein air artists converged at Ironstone Vineyards. The event featured wine tasting, gourmet samplings, live music by the Bob Eisenmann Jazz Trio, food and wine demonstrations, local artists painting along with artisans on site and a silent auction featuring Calaveras experiences and Calaveras products. “Taste of Calaveras brings the absolute best of Calaveras County together for one afternoon of cultural and sensory bliss,” stated Candy Myers, president of hosting organization, the Angels Camp Business Association. “It is truly a magical time to taste the finest that Calaveras has to offer and interact one-on-one with winemakers, chefs and artists while taking in the music and the breathtaking atmosphere of Ironstone Vineyards.”
While winemakers poured their award-winning wines, chefs handed out samples of culinary delights and artists painted from their palette, guests were able to engage in a number of short educational cooking and wine demonstrations by celebrity chefs and winemakers in the breezeway and wine caves at Ironstone.
Proceeds from the event go toward the many community projects of the Angels Camp Business Association.
