Mokelumne Hill, CA…A 29 year old Arnold man was driving his 1991 Dodge Pckup northbound on Hwy 49 north of Mokelumne Hill at about 40 -45mph. As he was negotiating a curve to his left, he allowed his pickup to run off the east side of the highway, his vehicle traveled up a steep embankment and overturned back onto the highway, landing on it’s roof. As the pickup landed on the roadway, it’s roof was crushed and the arm of his two year old passenger became pinned between the roof and the roadway. Once the child’s arm was freed, he was taken by American Legion Ambulance to PHI Helicopter who flew the child to UC Davis Medical Center treatment.
The driver and other adult passenger sustained minor injuries and refused treatment. Our thoughts and prayers are with the young man hoping he makes a speedy and full recovery.
