Angels Camp, CA…Bennington was driving her Jeep eastbound on SR-4 east of Stallion Way at approximately 30-40 miles per hour. Haynes was riding her Harley Davidson westbound on SR-4 at approximately 70 miles per hour approaching the Jeep’s location. Haynes passed two vehicles over the solid double yellow lines and attempted to reposition back within the westbound lane. As Haynes moved into the westbound lane, she entered a right hand curve in the roadway.
Haynes was unable to negotiate the curve and traveled back over the solid yellow lines into the eastbound lane directly in front of the Jeep. The Harley Davidson and Jeep collided. As a result of the collision, Haynes sustained serious injuries. She was transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries.
Alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to be a factor in this collision.
