Angels Camp, CA….The Bret Harte FFA Floriculture Judging team was announced the 2018 California State Champions on May 5th, 2018. This year three teams from the Bret Harte FFA traveled to San Luis Obispo to compete in the contests of Poultry Evaluation, Milk Quality & Dairy Foods and Floriculture. Teams have been practicing since January putting in countless hours, hard work and dedication to prepare for the State FFA Finals. Our Floriculture Team secured the state title with teams members Kaegen Moore (Junior), Zoe Hartsinck (sophomore), Jessica Goodspeed (junior) and fourth high individual in the state Madelyn Ruff (sophomore).

In October the Floriculture Judging team will advance to the national competition in Indianapolis, Indiana to fight for their chance of competing against the first place teams from every other state in the nation. This is the 3rd state Champion team competing in Floriculture from Bret Harte FFA, but the chapter is no stranger to state champions having won multiple state titles in Poultry and Dairy Products. All three teams proving this year’s theme to be correct…..”it always seems impossible, until it is done!” Good Luck Bret Harte FFA and congratulations!
