San Andreas, CA….Three vehicles were stopped in a construction zone eastbound on SR12 at Central Hill. A fourth vehicle was eastbound on SR12 at about 55mph, approaching the rear of stopped traffic. The driver of the vehicle was inattentive to his driving by reaching for his lunchbox. He applied his brakes and left 69 feet of locked wheel skid marks prior to striking the rear of the parked vehicle in front of him.
The force of the collision pushed the third vehicle in line into the second in line which in turn was pushed into the first vehicle waiting in line.
Alcohol and or drugs were not a factor in the collision. The blame lies squarely with the lunchbox
