Visitors spent most on restaurants for a total of $69.3 million, showing a 3.2% increase over 2017. Lodging, the second largest commodity spend at $46.4 million increased 3% over the previous year.

Tourism supported 2,750 jobs in Calaveras County in 2018, showing a steady increase since 2010.  Calaveras County tourism generated $14.6 million in state and local taxes in 2018 and our local tourism industry earned $92.9 million, a 54.% increase over 2017.

This is all good news for the Calaveras tourism industry, which has been a significant contributor to our local economy for more than 100 years.
