“Big Mama” is the Calaveras County Animal Services Pet of the Week Pet of the Week

San Andreas, CA…Meet Big Mama, a truly amazing cat. She weighs in at an impressive 15 pounds, but it’s her gorgeous fluffy coat that makes her appear twice that size. Having no tail, Big Mama is a manx-type cat. What she lacks in a tail she more than makes up for in having six toes on each paw, a unique trait that makes her a polydactyl. Big Mama’s long coat means she will require regular grooming though she keeps herself very neat and does not seem to shed much. Big Mama is also very gentle, super friendly and always up for meeting new people and other feline-friendly kitties.

As with all cats available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter, Big Mama is up-to-date on her routine vaccinations and has been micro-chipped. Already spayed, this gentle giant can go home with her special person or family today!
