San Andreas, CA…Meet Bubba, a Labrador retriever mix, estimated to be about a year and a half old. Affectionate and sensitive, Bubba is friendly with both male and female dogs. He is a star ball player, jumping high to retrieve and then releasing on command. When putting on his collar, he will lean up against his kennel gate and rise up on his hind legs to make the process easier for you. Exuberant and strong, Bubba often pulls on a leash and sometimes jumps on people. When scolded, though, he will back down into submission because what this joyful, big boy wants to do more than anything is please. He also chases cats so we would recommend a home without felines. Bubba may be housebroken as he keeps his kennel clean, patiently awaiting his walks and playtime.
As with all dogs available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter, Bubba is micro-chipped, has tested negative for heartworm and is up-to-date on his routine vaccinations. Bubba is well liked by the dog walking volunteers and all hope he will find his forever home soon. Since he is already neutered, he is ready to go home with his special person or family today!
