Rest In Peace.
Our family lives in Alameda, and I had a very pleasant conversation with Rachel Shahinian at the local Peet’s coffee shop. She was a very bright woman who worked as a molecular biologist, and had several patents to her name. Her adorable daughter, Annika was in the same acting and ballet classes as my daughter. We are all heartbroken.
Rachel and Annika were exceptionally wonderful; bright, gifted, warm friendly people. The world is not as good a place without them. Their immediate family and friends are inconsolable with this loss, their are 100s of people mourning them in Alameda. Our family has been friends with them 10+yrs.
To the locals there – how could someone get on the wrong side of the freeway and get to highway speed in the short distance from the tulloch dam road to the accident site?
Rachel….Knew her from Roche …..she loved and lived life to the fullest….Her precious child Annika… You were love and will missed..
Rachel and Annika were full of love and light. Two of the most beautiful souls you could ever hope to know. They will be missed. This world was a better place with them in it.
