Sonora, CA….Firefighters are making good progress on the Oak Fire. It has reached 50% containment. Let’s hope that as temps heat up today the fire behaves. The first morning update is enclosed…

The Red Cross will open an evacuation center at the Tuolumne County Fairgrounds in the Creekside Room, which should be open ar 5:30 pm.
Road Closures : Big Hill Road is closed from Hatler Mill to Bellview School
