Ione, CA…On October 30, 2022, at approximately 0100 hours, CHP Amador Officers were dispatched to a crash on Curran Road west of Camanche Road. Upon arrival, the officers learned the suspect had fled the scene in his vehicle. The investigating officers used evidence left at the scene to locate the vehicle and the driver approximately 2 miles away.

Further investigation revealed that Allen was driving his vehicle westbound on Curran Road west of Camanche Road, when due to his level of intoxication he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle exited the north shoulder of Curran Road and collided with a vinyl fence. The driver then fled the scene in his vehicle. Both of Allen’s passengers sustained injuries as a result of this crash.

The investigating officer determined Allen was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash and he was subsequently arrested for Felony DUI and Misdemeanor Hit and Run.
