Washington, DC…Postmaster General Louis DeJoy “After nearly five years as America’s 75th Postmaster General, and after informing the Governors in February of my intention to retire, I have today informed the Postal Service Board of Governors that today will be my last day in this role.
I believe strongly that the organization is well positioned and capable of carrying forward and fully implementing the many strategies and initiatives that comprise our transformation and modernization, and I have been working closely with the Deputy Postmaster General to prepare for this transition.
While our management team and the men and women of the Postal Service have established the path toward financial sustainability and high operating performance – and we have instituted enormous beneficial change to what had been an adrift and moribund organization – much work remains that is necessary to sustain our positive trajectory. I am confident that Doug will continue our positive momentum during the period when the Governors undertake the important work of identifying and selecting the next Postmaster General. I also have no doubt that the entirety of the Postal Service will aggressively shape its future and become more efficient, capable, and competitive as it continuously changes and improves to best serve the American public.
It is with great pride that I pass the baton to Deputy Postmaster General, Doug Tulino, until the Governors name my permanent successor. The Governors have hired a search firm in support of those efforts, which are well underway. I shall cheer on America’s 76th Postmaster General and the 640,000 men and women of the United States Postal Service who I have called my colleagues and friends for close to five years. It has been one of the pleasures of my life and a crowning achievement of my career to have been associated with this cherished institution, the United States Postal Service.”
United States Postal Service Chair Amber McReynolds
“Louis DeJoy has steadfastly served the nation and the Postal Service over the past five years,” said Amber McReynolds, chairwoman of the Board of Governors. “The Governors greatly appreciate his enduring leadership and his tireless efforts to modernize the Postal Service and reverse decades of neglect.” McReynolds added, “Louis is a fighter, and he has fought hard for the women and men of the Postal Service and to ensure that the American people have reliable and affordable service for years to come. I commend Postmaster General DeJoy for inspiring the Postal Service with strategic direction, a competitive spirit, and a culture of achievement that comes from the successful implementation of large-scale change. I have seen this spirit of purpose grow steadily during my time on the Board of Governors, and I am confident it will continue to grow as progress begets further progress, and the promise of a transformed and modernized Postal Service is fully realized.”

The United States Postal Service is an independent federal establishment, mandated to be self-financing and to serve every American community through the affordable, reliable and secure delivery of mail and packages to 169 million addresses six and often seven days a week. Overseen by a bipartisan Board of Governors, the Postal Service is implementing a 10-year transformation plan, Delivering for America, to modernize the postal network, restore long-term financial sustainability, dramatically improve service across all mail and shipping categories, and maintain the organization as one of America’s most valued and trusted brands.
The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.

It’s funny to see what you pick and choose to post. Did you guys see this?
The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.
By Jeffrey Goldberg (Editor in Chief of the Atlantic)
BOMBS AWAY
Lets focus on the article at hand. Louis DeJoy has been relieved of his duties as postmaster general, retiring that is. He will also be relieved of his duty of cleaning out what Trump has relieved himself of into his Depend. Adderall boosted by Ketamaine makes control of ones sphincter very touchy. Good luck Don. Perfffffffffft. Uh oh……………………….
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
Take another hit of Ketamine.
The editor of this rag would NEVER post an article such as the one exposing Hogshead, the idiot MichaelWalz, and little marco Rubio as the stumbling fools they are. Especially Hogshead. In any other administration at least two of the above mentioned individuals would be summarily fired after such a blatant ignorant and ILLEGAL act. That by the way all of you Trump Vets, endangered the lives of American troops. It was just a stroke of luck that someone like Russia or Iran didn’t get ahold of the plans to strike with air power the ragheads in the middle east. American forces are lucky the Houthis weren’t waiting for them to show up, missles and weapons focused on the invading ugly Americans. The scope of this screw up is hard to fathom. Think about it. A reporter invited by Walz to the group chat discussing the bombing of an adversary. Think about it. What if this reporter was a Russian plant? An Iranian plant? At the very least Hegspeth, Walz should lose their jobs today. Not under Trump though. No big deal.
Ike, JFK, Reagan must be turning over in their graves.
Good luck to the Iranian Sharpshooters.
And don’t expect the editor of this toilet paper to post anything about this unbelievably lame and illegal breech of security. He is a stone cold Trumpster.
PRIVATIZE AGAIN is the goal .
Like with Medicare Advantage, you get less coverage, and pay lots more how they get profits.
The USPS is also under MAGA attack, they want to hand it to Fed Ex, or another non union corporation.
The idea is to cut service maximize profits.
For us using a rural contract carrier, – mail boxes , that will be gone, you will have to drive to a mail box battery , which are broken into a lot, or drive further to the post office, if it survives cost cutting, all to maximize profits.
Another example how Republicans want to take your $ , and end a good working system that lasted for a long, long time.
How’d that call to SS go? Did you even get thru after 3 hours?
Thanks Republicans.
Did I hear correctly Calif. turning RED?
No, RED is the last thing that should happen. GOP is destroying our country and next there will be no reliable postal service. A Russia form of dictatorship which seems to be evolving in America is sickening.
The Trump administration of stupidity and corruption has disgraced the American people
A clown car administration of complete idiots. Are selling out America. Five Million for a Russian GOLD CARD. Disgraced our Military and Fallen HEROES
Republicans pull your pride out of your ass and Stand Up for our COUNTRY
