Sonora, CA…The Central Sierra Economic Development District (CSEDD) has released its 2017‐2022 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for a 30 day public viewing and comment period. The CSEDD CEDS encompasses the counties of Alpine, Calaveras, Mariposa, and Tuolumne, and outlines the five‐year plan for the region’s economic development strategies and projects. The 30 day comment period ends November 9, 2016. As part of a larger long‐term plan, the 2017‐2022 CEDS features a description of current regional conditions and sets forth goals and objectives for the next five years. A comprehensive economic development strategy (CEDS) is designed to bring together the public and private sectors in the creation of an economic development plan to diversify and strengthen the region’s economies.
